One way to start the day on the right foot is by establishing a morning routine. Creating a morning routine and a set of habits will help you start your day with intention and purpose. Here are some reasons why a morning routine can be important for mothers:

Wake Up an Hour Before Your Kids
Ya… I know, I know. This is a tough one. But you can do it! Think “Me Time.”
This will take some practice, especially if you are not a morning person. You will be amazed at how much the “mom brain goes away, just by being up before your children for a few days.
Waking up an hour before the rest of the house is the most glorious time of the day. Everything is peaceful and quiet. When the house is quiet and the kids are still asleep, it is MY time.
Drink a Glass of Water
When I get in a glass of water, before my breakfast or coffee, it makes me feel fuller. It takes away the morning hunger and I feel ready to take on a workout.
Drinking a glass of water in the morning can flush out the toxins in your stomach and increase your energy levels. This is a great benefit first thing in the morning.
Exercise for Thirty Minutes
As a mother, it is often hard to get any time to lift weights without a child hanging on you.
Spend this extra time you just created by getting some movement into your body.
Exercising in the morning sets the tone for the day. You will feel more energized and refreshed as you move through your day after you started your day by moving your body.
Meditate or Pray for Fifteen Minutes
When you finish your exercise, take fifteen minutes to meditate or pray. Your home is still calm and quiet.
Take this time to center yourself and find your balance.

Plan your day
The last 10 minutes of the hour you have given yourself is to plan the day out.
Planning your day is vital, whether you are a stay-at-home mom, mom of kids in school, homeschool mom, or a working mom. It will give you something to look forward to. It will allow you to cross something off a list and set small and simple goals for yourself each day.
Writing a plan for the day will make you feel more “put together” and will give you something to work toward.

Wake your children & Quiet Time
If you wake your children, do that now. If they are already up at this point, go spend some time with them.
Spend thirty minutes of quiet time together. This could be reading a book, watching a show, or simply visiting with them. These first thirty minutes of the day with your kids will set their day off on a positive note. It will allow them to see you up and happy, and have them follow suit.
Breakfast
Eat breakfast with your kids. Talk to them about what they will be doing that day. Encourage them to set their own goals and plans for the day. Use this time to get involved with your children.
Get outside.
Finally, get outside for a few minutes. Go for a walk, tend to a garden, or play with your children. It is so good for your mental health to go outside and breathe in the fresh air.
